A few kilometres east of Nice you can find the town of Villefranche-sur-Mer (7,000 inhabitants). With its sandy beaches and the charming old town, Villefranche-sur-Mer is a popular tourist destination.

WHAT TO SEE IN VILLEFRANCHE-SUR-MER: – The Chapel of St. Peter (Chapelle St-Pierre) decorated by Jean Cocteau during his stay in Villefranche-sur-Mer – La Rue Obscure, an archway of the thirteenth century classified m national monument – the St-Elme citadel, the town hall and the open air theatre with the Volti Foundation-Museum and the Museum Guetz-Boumeester.
