The Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, Monte Carlo is a great architectural masterpiece. Its impressive façade dominates the sea cliffs at an altitude of 85 meters. The construction has cost about eleven years of work and 100,000 tons of stone from La Turbie.
Founded by Prince Albert I, the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco (Océanographique Musée de Monaco) is dedicated to all disciplines of the sea. His series of marine fauna gathered by Prince Albert I are great. His famous aquarium with 90 tanks where the evolution of the rarest fish species can perceive colors and extravagant shapes. The last project: his “Shark Lagoon” reveals in a giant pool of 450 m3, the richness and colors of the coral reefs and the animals that live there.
